Patients in the following groups are entitled to a free NHS sight test and an NHS voucher if required
1.People over the age of 60
2. People entitled to working families tax credit or income support.
3. People on income based job seekers allowance.
4. Those on low income who have been assessed as having part or no contribution to pay.
5. Children under 16 and those in full time education under 19.
6. People who need complex lenses as defined by the spectacle voucher scheme.
7.The registered blind and partially sighted.
8. Those with diabetes or glaucoma.
9. Close relatives over the age of 40 of glaucoma sufferers.
