You qualify for free eye examinations under NHS rules if you
are
- Under 16 or under 19 in full time education
- Aged 60 or over
- Registered with sight impaired vision or severely sight
impaired vision.
- Diagnosed with diabetes or glaucoma
- Aged 40 or over with an immediate relative with glaucoma or you
haven been advised by an ophthalmologist that you are at risk of
glaucoma.
- Prescribed a complex lens
You are entitled to a voucher towards a pair of spectacles and
with us this covers the whole cost usually when you receive
- Income support
- Income related Employment and Support Allowance
- Working tax Credit and named on Tax Credit exemption
certificate
- Pension guarantee credit
- Chid tax credit and are named on tax credit exemption
certificate.
- Named on NHS certificate HC2 for full help with health
costs
- Named on HC3 certificate.
- Or if you are a partner of those receiving the above.
